The Pearl Street Residence will be a transitional residential home serving as a bridge to independent living for youth between the ages of 18-21 who left foster care at age 16 or older and are in need of housing.

The YFWP provides support, education, and clinical services to help young people (14-21 years old) who may have substance abuse and mental health issues.

Last year, 142 volunteers gave 11,485 hours of work that saved Spectrum $172,275. There are many opportunities for volunteering or interning with Spectrum.

In 2010, Spectrum's Counseling Program was awarded an Innovation Award in Substance Abuse Services (iAward) sponsored by the State Associations of Addiction Services (SAAS) and NIATx. Spectrum was chosen for this award for its rapid referral and assessment program, which reduces wait times for outpatient services, such as treatment for drug and alcohol abuse.

Spectrum’s Murray Street Residence is a group living program for six adolescent males that provides a community-based transition from foster care to independent living.

Spectrum recognizes that each school community is different with respect to structure, readiness, need, and capabilities. SAP is designed to work with individual school communities to assess their needs, interests, and capabilities and to design a customized Student Assistance Program to provide a basis for substance use and related mental health education, prevention and intervention services.

Spectrum’s Mentoring Program is a community-based program that partner responsible adult volunteers with adolescents between the ages of 12 and 22.

The JOBS Program is a collaborative effort between Spectrum and the HowardCenter. The program serves youth (16-21) who have been identified as having an emotional and/or behavioral disability and are in need of extra support and services to maintain and make progress in their educational settings and /or obtain and maintain employment.
