Health Clinic In collaboration with the Community Health Center of Burlington (CHCB), Spectrum has offered medical services to homeless, runaway and disconnected youth since 1997. CHCB's Homeless Health Care Program staffs the clinic at Spectrum's One Stop (SOS) at 177 Pearl Street, Burlington, which provides free primary and behavioral health care services to homeless youth in Chittenden County. Last year this program served approximately 200 homeless, runaway, and disconnected youth. Services provided at this location include: - Physician clinic hours three hours a day, four days a week
- Dental Program
- Counseling and case management for health related issues
- Access to entitlements including Medicaid and Food Stamps
- Oral HIV, Hepatitis C, and pregnancy testing, counseling, and referrals
- Health education workshops
- Physical fitness programs
In 2006, approximately 314 young people accessed medical care through 1,884 visits to the clinic. |
