BECOME A MENTOR: CLICK HERE Mentoring Program Mission We create and support community-based mentoring to help adolescents develop the life skills and support networks needed for a healthy, successful future. We undertake this mission with the conviction that mentored youth benefit from positive adult role models.
Many youth in our community are in need of positive adult role models—somebody to spend time with, to do fun activities with, and somebody who will listen.
We are in the business of matching caring, compassionate, and responsible adults with the youth that Spectrum serves. The youth seeking mentors in our program are eager to be matched with an adult who will take an interested in his/her life.
Our program ensures that all volunteer mentors are carefully screened, trained and supported through out the match. Our program is a member of the National Mentoring Partnership, Vermont Mentoring Partnership, Chittenden County Mentoring Network and receives support from Mobius, The Mentoring Movement. We adhere to strict guidelines for running an effective mentor program.
