Mentoring Program

Thank you for your interest in the Spectrum Mentoring Program. It’s an experience that will change both your life and the life of your mentee!

Spectrum Mentor: A mentor in the Spectrum Mentoring Program acts as a positive adult role model and friend to a youth.

Who are the youth in need of mentors? The youth referred to the Spectrum Mentoring Program are between the age of 12 and 22 years old. They are referred from all of Spectrum's programs as well as from Burlington's middle schools and high school. The youth may be working with our Community Support and Supervision Program to fulfill the requirements of their probation. He or she may be receiving counseling from our mental health/substance abuse counselors. They may be struggling to succeed in school and their guidance counselor feels that they could benefit from a positive adult role model to encourage them in this endeavor.
