Monica joined Spectrum in November 2020 as a member of the Warming Shelter Team. After the warming shelter season ended, she moved into a full time Youth Coach role at the Drop-In Center in April 2021.
She is currently working on her master’s degree at Tulane in social work and disaster resilience and leadership and is involved in helping support the new staff at the Warming Shelter this season at Spectrum.
Monica moved to Vermont in 2018 to work for True North Wilderness as a wilderness therapy guide. She has also worked with high school exchange students and supported them with their transition of moving to the United States.
In her free time, you can find her climbing at Petra Cliffs, playing piano, doing yoga, and playing in the woods.
