Join our Riverstone Counseling Team as a Mental Health and Substance Use Counselor! The ideal candidate will provide clients with individual, group, and/or family counseling and psychotherapy services. Along with creating client-driven treatment plans using specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals.
This role involves working in a team collaborative environment and requires a master’s degree in counseling, social work, or related field from an accredited program and the ability to be Rostered with Vermont OPR. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with youth and is excited about contributing to our mission.
The full time position offers a competitive salary of $55,000 – $63,250 and is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including health, HRA, dental, vision, life insurance, STD, LTD, accrued vacation, unlimited health leave, and a 403(b) retirement plan to support your well-being and work-life balance.

Youth Coaches provide support for youth staying in the Nightly Shelter. As an important part of the shelter’s community, you’ll help youth achieve housing stability, heal from trauma, and accomplish their goals. The ideal candidate enjoys connecting with both adults and youth, helping to build meaningful mentor-mentee relationships. This role will take you both into the community and into the office, with a mix of sitting, standing, using stairs and lifting or moving up to 10 pounds. Travel is part of the job, and we’ll reimburse your mileage.
