Alayna began working at Spectrum in July 2021 as the Burlington Drop-In Center’s Resource Coordinator. She works closely with youth and community partners to provide useful connections and resources unique to each person’s needs. She focuses on assisting our youth who utilize Drop-In services with determining their goals and accessing housing, healthcare, employment, education and support networks.

She also worked in public schools and community mental health centers as a clinical social worker. In her work she focuses on the bio-psychosocial model with a specific emphasis on self-determination, adolescent neurological development and social justice.

Alayna completed her BA at the University of Massachusetts Amherst where she studied Journalism & Gender Studies and completed her MSW at Smith School for Social Work. She is currently working towards becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

She enjoys spending time in nature, with close friends, listening to live music, reading memoirs and trying out new crafts.
