About This Event

The Empty Bowl Dinner

The Empty Bowl Dinner, held each October, is a family-friendly evening that brings together community members and supporters who choose a handmade ceramic bowl to keep and fill with soups donated from local restaurants. Guests purchased items directly for youth on our Giving Board, from personal care items to eyeglasses, textbooks, and much more. This event raises over $100,000 to support teens and young adults facing homelessness and other challenges in our community.

We’re so grateful to our many local restaurants & cafes for donating all the food for the evening!

Soup: American Flatbread, Bleu Northeast Seafood, Frankie’s, Honey Road, Majestic Café, May Day, Misery Loves Company, Restaurant Poco, Waterworks Food + Drink

Salad, Bread, and Butter: August First, Great Harvest Bread, Sugarsnap Catering, Vermont Creamery

Dessert: Kestrel Coffee Roasters, Krin’s Bakery, Lake Champlain Chocolates, Red House Sweets, Red Poppy Cakery, Top of the Block
