Health Center

Pearl Street Youth Health Center

Located next door to the Drop-In Center at 179 Pearl Street, the Pearl Street Youth Health Center is operated by the Community Health Centers of Burlington (CHCB). They offer appointment and walk-in medical and patient counseling services for youth and young adults through age 25 and special services for at-risk youth, homeless teens, and young adults.

Services include:

  • Primary and preventive health care for ages 13-25. Walk-ins welcome.
  • Counseling and psychiatry, including connection to substance use treatment.
  • Financial assistance including a sliding-fee scale. Free services if income eligible.
  • Free state-funded sexually transmitted disease screenings.
  • Connection to other CHCB programs such as dental care, discounted prescriptions, and free nutrition services.
  • Referrals to other community resources.

Health Insurance

Both Spectrum and the Community Health Centers are trained to help people sign up for health insurance at the new marketplace, Vermont Health Connect.

If you are between the ages of 18-24, you can call Spectrum at 802-864-3641 to set up an appointment, stop by the Drop-In Center, or email us at dropin@spectrumvt.org

People of any age who would like assistance with navigating the health insurance exchange can call the Community Health Centers at 802-264-8124 or visit www.chcb.org for walk-in hours.
