Waxaan aaminsanahay in cilaaqaadka daaweyntu ay kobciyaan oo ay guuleystaan marka uu jiro xiriir isfaham, naxariis, naxariis, daah furnaan iyo aqbalid. Waxaad tahay khabiir naftaada ah; cidina kuma garaneyso ama kaa aqoon badan karto naftaada, sidaa darteed ujeedkeygu waa inaan kaa caawiyo inaad aqoonsato oo aad garato awoodahaaga - anigoo kaa caawinaya inaad si guud u bogsato. Iyada oo ku saleysan khibradeyda xirfadeed iyo shaqsiyadeed, ma jirto hal waddo oo aan uga gudubno maskaxdeena isku xiran, jirka iyo caqabadaha xagga ruuxa; sidaas ayaan ku tababaraa Qaababka Daweynta Isku-dhafan. Qaabdhismeedka asaasiga ah ee daaweynta ee aan isticmaalo waa Daaweynta Dabeecadda Aqoonsiga, Wareysiga Dhiirrigelinta iyo Qaabilaadda Qofka udub dhexaad u ah. Intaas waxaa sii dheer, waxaan leeyahay aqoon qoto dheer, faham iyo xirfado ku saabsan dhaqamada kala duwan, bini aadamnimada iyo guud ahaanba, dhaqamada maskaxda ku haya iyo ku-dhaqanka la-socodsiinta dhibaatooyinka. Waxaan haystaa in kabadan seddex sano oo khibrad shaqo ah dhalinyarada soo koreysa; in kabadan shan sano oo waayo aragnimo ah oo lashaqeynayay Tirada Dadka Mareykanka ee Cusub iyo sidoo kale waayo aragnimo shaqo oo caruurta iyo qoysaska ah. Waxaan ku takhasusay la shaqeynta dhalinyarada, dhalinyarada soo koreysa, iyo dadka waaweyn oo ay ku jiraan xubnaha qoysaskooda ama daryeel bixiyaasha meelaha sida walaaca, niyad jabka, muuqaalka jirka, jahwareerka, la qabsiga dhaqamada kala duwan iyo caqabadaha kale ee maalinlaha ah. Shahaadada Master-ka waxaan ka qaatay Shahaadada Cilmi-nafsiga ee Caafimaadka ee Saint Michael's College.

Dhaqankeygu wuxuu ku saleysan yahay aaminsanaanta ah in naxariis, furfurnaan, naxariis, taageero, iyo isku xirnaan, bogsashada ay suurtagal tahay. Waan kula shaqeyn doonaa si aan u abuuro jawi aamin ah oo aan xukun lahayn, si aan kaaga caawiyo ka shaqeynta xaaladaha adag. Shaqadeenna wadajirka ah, waxaan diiradda saari doonnaa daacadnimada iyo kalsoonida si aan uga gudubno ceebta iyo dambiga. Ficilkeyga, waxaan kula kulmaa shaqsiyaadka halka ay joogaan. Baahidaada iyo yoolalkaaga ayaa udub dhexaad u noqon doona habka daaweynta. Waxaan ku takhasusay la shaqeynta dhalinyarada, dhalinyarada iyo qoysaska arrimo kala duwan oo ay ka mid yihiin: trauma iyo PTSD, niyad jab, walaac, iyo isticmaalka maandooriyaha. Shaqadeena wadajirka ah waxay ku saleysnaan doontaa ficillo lagu caddeeyay cilmi baaris si loo caawiyo, oo ay ku jiraan wareysiga dhiirigelinta, daaweynta dabeecadda garashada, cilmu-nafsiga maskaxda, EMDR, iyo feejignaanta. Laakiin sidoo kale waxaan u keenayaa hal-abuurnimo iyo dabacsanaanta ku-dhaqankeyga: noloshu waa mid cakiran, iyo qalabkaaga badan ee aad haysato, way fududaanaysaa inay ka adkaato caqabadaha nolosha. Waxaan ka qaatay shahaadadayda 'BA' ee cilmu-nafsiga oo aan ka qaatay Kulliyadda Green Mountain iyo MA ee Talo-siinta Caafimaadka Maskaxda oo aan ku ururshay La-talinta Xad-gudubka Maandooriyaha ee Jaamacadda Antioch ee New England.

Bo Twiggs, MSW, LICSW | Counselor

Pronouns: He/him
My practice is based in collaborating with clients to explore what is working to help them feel happy, healthy, and fulfilled in life – and what might be getting in the way. My work is driven by the belief that change is not about flipping a switch; rather, making and maintaining changes is often a journey of many challenges, but even more possibilities. I utilize Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness-based work to partner with clients to clarify priorities, cultivate adaptive thinking and move in the direction of positive, purposeful living. Together, we will create a safe, trauma-informed space where you can stabilize and heal as you envision and realize the truest expression of yourself. I hold a B.A. in Communication from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and my MSW from Fordham University and come to Riverstone with over a decade of experience in supporting individuals and families working to overcome trauma, criminal justice involvement, mental health challenges and many other barriers and find safe, productive, and happy lives.

I believe a therapeutic relationship is grounded in trust, respect, genuineness, openness and connection. Together, we will build a safe and nonjudgmental space that allows you to be honest, reflective, and work on what is important to you. It is critical that my clients feel heard, understood, respected, and that your needs are central. I will empower you, as the expert in your experience, to look at what you’d like to change and build on your strengths to achieve your goals. My theoretical approach is informed by Person-Centered Therapy, developed by Carl Rogers who said “when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change”. Additionally, other theoretical frameworks that inform my work include Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Feminist Therapy, and trauma-informed practices. I specialize in working with youth, young adults, and families in a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, PTSD, substance use, family dynamics, and stress. I have been with Riverstone since 2017, and graduated with my master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Vermont. My practice is affirmative and liberatory—all are welcome.

There is power to understanding your story, holistically, through therapy. Together, we can co-create a nonjudgmental space where it feels good to check in with yourself, process your experiences, and share your story, both in and outside of the therapy room. In our collaborative alliance, we can nurture new stories and ways that support your relationship with self and others. At the core of my work, I am passionate about empowering your intuition, self-compassion, and a sense of purpose. I integrate strengths-based, anti-racist, emotion-focused, narrative, feminist/liberatory, and cognitive-behavioral approaches (and sometimes, with a bit of humor!). All are welcome, and I specialize in working with young people, emerging adults, college students, relationship issues and communication, neurodivergence, identity exploration, queer folks, and families of queer and trans youth.
