Become a Volunteer
The programs at Spectrum make a difference in our community and in the lives of homeless and at-risk youth. You can help us make a difference by volunteering your time.
Current Volunteer Opportunities:
- Front Desk: Spectrum is currently seeking a volunteer to fill in at our Front Desk on Wednesdays, 9am-5pm. Duties include answering phones, managing interoffice mail, and welcoming and assisting walk-in clients. We are looking for an energetic, friendly, and responsible person who is comfortable in an office environment and respectful of our confidentiality policies. Position will begin on or around August 18. If interested, please contact our Office Manager, Pam Sawyer, at psawyer@spectrumvt.org
- Spectrum Ride - Day of Event Volunteers: Sign up to help on Sunday, October 3, the day of the Spectrum Ride. We need lots of volunteers so if you don't want to ride but want to help out, please consider being a volunteer. We'd appreciate a 2-3 hour block of time, but anything you can do will be wonderful. Please contact Monica Taylor, at mtaylor@spectrumvt.org or 802-660-0580 x330.
- Mentor: Interested in becoming a mentor? Please contact Deirdre Johnson, at djohnson@spectrumvt.org
- Cook: If you're interested in coming in to cook lunch or dinner at our Drop-In Center, please contact Bridget Everts, at beverts@spectrumvt.org
Unfortunately community service hours cannot currently be fulfilled through Spectrum’s volunteer opportunities.
