Our Programs

Drop-In Center

Our Drop-In Center is a safe and welcoming place for young people ages 14-24 to eat a meal, use a computer or phone, do laundry, get clothing, take a shower, and get other basic needs met.

Located at 177 Pearl St in Burlington, Spectrum’s Drop-In Center is open from 10am-6pm, Monday through Friday, and from 12pm-5pm, Saturday and Sunday.

The Drop-In Center is a safe and welcoming place to:

  • Eat a free meal. We serve lunch and dinner every weekday at 12 and 5pm and on weekends at 12:15 and 4:15pm.
  • Use a computer, printer, or phone
  • Do laundry
  • Get clothing
  • Take a shower
  • Take a class on topics such as life skills, job readiness, parenting, or safe dating.
  • Get help with needs such as applying for jobs or state benefits, or finding a place to live.

Drop-In is a safe space and we welcome all LGBTQQ* youth ages 14 – 24. For more information, stop by the Drop-In, email dropin@spectrumvt.org, or call 802-864-7423 x312.

Hours:

Monday-Friday from 10:00 am-6:00 pm (Please Note: Between 1pm and 4pm we are closed for specific programming and individual meetings.)

Meals:

12:00pm and 5:00pm

  • A chance to try new things: Our youth visit Burlington Paint & Sip!

    We had a wonderful time visiting the Burlington Paint and Sip Studio for a fun, substance-free afternoon painting event for youth who access our Drop-In Center. “Being able to share their stories is so important in helping our youth see themselves as more than just a ‘homeless kid.’ These opportunities allow them to escape whatever struggles they are dealing with day-to-day, and just enjoy trying something new and being seen as a member of the community—a person with something to share.”
