Alayna joined Spectrum in 2021 working at the Burlington Drop-In as the Resource Coordinator, Supervisor and Program Coordinator before becoming the Director of Burlington Basic Needs in 2026. With a background in clinical Social Work, Alayna utilizes a biopsychosocial model to understand our work and puts a specific emphasis on self-determination, adolescent neurological development and social justice.
As the Director of Burlington Basic Needs, Alayna oversees Spectrums Drop-In, Emergency Shelter, and Supported Housing programs. She is passionate about finding ways to make systems work for the people most impacted by them. She brings a relentless client centered approach, curiosity and collaborative mindset to all parts of the Basic Needs programming. In her time outside of work you can find her dancing, playing, trying new things, philosophizing and spending time with her community of friends and neighbors.
