Former Vermont Governor Jim Douglas signs H.449 into law, raising the age limit of youth in foster care from 18 to 21 in Spectrum’s Drop-In Center in 2007.
We offer emergency shelter and transitional housing for young people ages 16-24 in Burlington and St. Albans.
Detail Works is a social enterprise designed to help young people build the soft skills and trade skills they need in the workplace.
After high school, Lopez was living at home and hit a rough patch. With your help, we were able to give him a room in the Landing (our emergency shelter), and, eventually, in our transitional housing.

Recently, we marched in the Pride Center of Vermont’s annual Pride Parade. The parade is a yearly event in downtown Burlington, and includes a festival to celebrate lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) communities, histories, and cultures. Thanks to you for cheering us on!
